Lot 341: A turned yew wood table lamp with damask fabric shade
A table lamp featuring a base of turned yew wood in a baluster form. The timber is highly figured, showcasing characteristic dark knots and a swirling natural grain under a polished finish. The lamp is topped with a conical fabric shade in a cream colour, decorated with an embossed damask floral pattern. The electrical assembly includes a white plastic power cord terminating in a standard UK 3-pin plug. The plug is fitted with a blue rocker switch. No maker marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the wooden base or the electrical components. The electrical components have not been tested and require inspection by a qualified electrician before use.
Condition report:
The yew wood base appears to be in good condition with a high-lustre finish; natural fissures and knots are present as inherent features of the wood (photo 1). The cream damask shade shows no visible staining, tearing, or crushing in the provided view. The power cord and plug appear intact, though the rocker switch shows minor surface wear from use.
