Lot 250: A Collection of Assorted Plastic Toy Vehicles Including Batmobile and Sainsbury's Delivery Truck
A collection of assorted plastic toy vehicles contained within a cardboard box. The primary item is a large-scale black plastic vehicle modelled on the Tumbler Batmobile design. The vehicle is constructed from moulded black plastic with grey and copper-toned accents and features wide, textured plastic tyres. It is missing several components, including elements from the cockpit or front assembly, and currently holds a small red plastic helicopter on its upper surface.
Additional vehicles in the lot include a white and red plastic box truck. A printed mark on the front bumper reads sainsburys.co.uk in lowercase red lettering. The side panel also features Sainsbury’s branding with a photographic graphic. Also present is a silver and blue plastic police SUV. A mirrored adhesive decal on the hood reads POLICE in blue capital letters.
The collection further includes a red plastic fire engine with a white extendable ladder, a smaller block-style red fire truck, a yellow plastic dump truck component, a yellow excavator arm, a small pink and white plastic car, and a blue truck cab. A large black vehicle partially visible at the bottom of the lot features a tyre marked CHAMPION in white capital letters. All items are of moulded plastic construction with free-wheeling or articulated parts.
Condition report:
The collection is in play-worn condition throughout. The large black Batmobile vehicle shows visible surface scuffs, heavy dust, and is missing significant parts from the front and top sections (photo 1). The Sainsbury\'s truck has surface grime and scuffs to the plastic body (photo 1). The police vehicle shows lifting to the edges of the adhesive decals (photo 1). The smaller red fire engine ladder shows signs of wear and potential light stress to the plastic (photo 1). All items exhibit accumulated dust and surface grime consistent with open storage and previous use. No original packaging is present.
