Lot 185: A Collection of Sparkling Wines and Prosecco Including 2009 Freixenet Cava and 2022 Costellore Prosecco Rosé
A group of five 75cl bottles of sparkling wine and semi-sparkling wine from Spain and Italy. The collection features a Spanish Cava from Freixenet, identified by a black and gold adhesive label reading Freixenet, EXCELENCIA, CAVA, and a neck label printed BRUT VINTAGE 2009. The lot further includes an assortment of Italian sparkling wines under the Costellore brand. One bottle is a Prosecco DOC, featuring a yellow adhesive label printed COSTELLORE, PROSECCO, D.O.C., EXTRA DRY, PRODUCT OF ITALY, and a black foil capsule. A second Costellore bottle is a Prosecco Frizzante, identified by a yellow adhesive label reading COSTELLORE, PROSECCO, VINO FRIZZANTE, PRODOTTO IN ITALIA, secured with a black screw cap and an blue Italian government seal strip reading PROSECCO, DOC, and a alphanumeric code. The collection also contains a 2022 vintage Prosecco Rosé, with a pink adhesive label printed COSTELLORE, PROSECCO, ROSÉ, EXTRA DRY, MILLESIMATO 2022, PRODOTTO IN ITALIA, finished with a silver foil capsule. The final bottle in the group is an Italian Prosecco with a white adhesive label reading CONEGLIANO PROSECCO, EXTRA DRY, featuring a gold foil capsule and a purple neck label with a circular monogram device. Small orange adhesive price stickers reading 1.85 are present on two of the bottles.
Condition report:
The bottles appear in good overall condition with fill levels consistent with original bottling. The Freixenet Cava label shows minor scuffing to the edges. The Costellore Prosecco Rosé label has a significant vertical tear and loss to the left side of the main body label. The remaining labels and capsules appear intact and well-preserved.
