Lot 155: A Mid-Century Mountain Landscape Print
A landscape artwork, likely a colour woodblock print or lithograph on paper, depicting a valley scene with a mountain range, a body of water, and stylized dark trees in the middle ground. The composition utilizes a muted palette of pale yellow, blue-grey, and dark green. The work is presented in a dark wood frame with a gold-toned inner fillet, set behind glass with a wide, dark-grey mat. Condition report:
The artwork appears to be in good overall condition. There is slight undulation to the paper support and minor discoloration consistent with age (photo 1). The frame shows some light surface wear to the edges. A hanging string and hook are currently draped across the exterior glass surface; these are not attached to the face of the work itself. No foxing or significant staining is visible.
