Lot 150: London Clock Co. Dual Chime Regulator Style Wall Clock
A contemporary wooden wall clock presented in the style of a traditional regulator. The case is constructed from dark-stained hardwood with a decorative arched pediment and base, featuring turned columnar supports with gilt-tone metal accents. The glazed door reveals a circular white dial framed by a gilt-tone bezel. The dial is printed with black Roman numeral hour markers, a minute track, and features decorative black-finished spade-style hands. To the left of the central arbor, the dial is printed with the name London Clock Co. To the right, it is marked Westminster/Whittington, indicating the dual chime functionality of the movement. The movement is quartz-operated and lacks winding holes. Visible through the glass is a polished gilt-tone lyre-shaped pendulum. A small orange adhesive price label reading 150 is attached to the right side of the wooden case (photo 1).
Condition report:
The wooden case appears in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant scratches to the finish (photo 1). The glass front is intact and free of visible damage. The gilt-tone finish on the internal pendulum and decorative case accents shows some minor surface dust and light tarnishing consistent with display (photo 2). The functional status of the electronic movement and chime has not been tested.
