A late 20th-century oval coffee table in the Regency reproduction style, constructed from mahogany-finished wood. The oval top features a decorative grain veneer and is finished with a thick, rounded moulded edge. It is supported by a quadruple pedestal base consisting of four out-swept, curved legs with a moulded profile, all of which are secured to a shaped, cross-form central stretcher base plate. Two adhesive labels are present on the left side of the tabletop: a white circular sticker bearing the printed number 6 and a yellow rectangular sticker bearing the printed number 562. No maker’s marks, stamps, or manufacturer’s labels are visible on the piece. Note: The furniture legs and coasters shown resting on the tabletop are separate items and are not included with this lot.
Condition report:
The table is in used condition. The tabletop shows scattered light scratches, small dings, and several small white spots across the surface (photo 1). There is a prominent dark shadow or patch in the centre of the tabletop, likely due to uneven light exposure or fading over time (photo 1). The base and legs exhibit minor scuffing and small chips to the finish, particularly concentrated around the feet and lower edges consistent with age and floor contact (photo 1).
