Lot 543: A Collection of Vintage Clear Glass Kitchen Storage Canisters and Lids
A collection of vintage clear glass kitchen storage canisters comprising seven jars and eight lids. Each jar is of rectangular form with rounded corners and faceted shoulders. The set includes two distinct sizes, comprising four smaller jars and three larger jars. The matching lids are circular in form with a prominent embossed starburst motif to the centre. One jar bears a gold-tone rectangular adhesive label reading SULTANAS in capitalized sans-serif characters. One loose lid has a moulded numerical mark 12 on its underside. Another lid retains a bright orange adhesive price sticker reading $43.
Condition report:
The glass is generally clear, though several pieces show minor surface dust and internal cloudiness consistent with age (main photo). Minor chips or nibbles are visible to the ground inner rims of the jars and the edges of the lids from previous use. No significant cracks or structural repairs are observed.
