A group of two contemporary wall mirrors consisting of one large rectangular example and one circular example. The rectangular mirror is constructed with a wide, flat profile frame with mitred corners, finished in a matte black paint. The circular mirror features a deep, concave profile frame in a matching black finish, accented by a decorative beaded inner rim. Both mirrors are fitted with plain glass plates. A small white rectangular adhesive label bearing the printed number 17 is present on the upper-left of the rectangular mirror glass and the upper-centre of the circular mirror glass. An orange rectangular adhesive label is adhered to the left side of the rectangular frame, though the characters are not clearly legible. A small fragment of patterned paper or fabric is adhered to the upper-right corner of the rectangular frame. No manufacturer’s marks or signatures are visible on the front of either item.
Condition report:
The rectangular mirror frame shows minor rubbing and surface scuffs to the black painted finish, primarily at the outer edges and mitred corners (photo 1). There is a small piece of adhered paper located on the upper-right corner of the frame (photo 1). The circular mirror frame appears in good overall condition. Both mirror plates exhibit a layer of surface dust, with accumulation noted within the beaded detail of the circular mirror. No visible signs of foxing, silvering loss, or scratches are evident on the mirror glass (photo 1).
