Lot 194: A Collection of Assorted Cut and Pressed Glass Tableware
A collection of clear domestic and decorative glassware comprising both cut lead crystal and molded pressed glass pieces. The group includes a large circular pressed glass bowl with a scalloped rim, featuring a molded relief pattern of fruit and foliage. Also present is a circular serving plate with a central star-cut motif and radiating flutes. The assortment further contains a cylindrical storage jar with a faceted knob to the lid, a plain footed glass bowl, and several smaller bowls and drinking vessels with geometric cut patterns, including pinwheel and star designs. A glass decanter stopper with a silver-toned metal mount is also included. A yellow square adhesive label bearing the handwritten number 194 and a white rectangular adhesive label printed with the number 1 1 are attached to the cardboard container. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the glassware.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition with no significant cracks or large losses visible (photo 1). As a mixed lot, the pieces exhibit typical signs of age and domestic use, including light surface scratching and minor abrasions to some edges. There is some internal cloudiness visible within the large pressed glass bowl (photo 1).
