Lot 114: An Assortment of Cut and Etched Lead Crystal Glassware
This group comprises several pieces of decorative lead crystal showcasing a variety of traditional glass-cutting and etching techniques. The collection includes a tall vessel with a flared rim, likely a vase or decanter, featuring a deep diamond-cut cross-hatch pattern to the neck which transitions into a bulbous body decorated with vertical fluting. Also included is a heavy footed vase or goblet with a bowl featuring deep diamond-cut faceting, a multi-faceted stem, and a circular foot with a star-cut base. The assortment is completed by two spherical rose bowls or globe vases, both decorated with delicate etched floral motifs consisting of small flower clusters and trailing foliate stems. Two of the pieces bear an orange adhesive label with the handwritten number 114. No permanent maker marks, acid-etched signatures, or manufacturer stamps are visible on the bodies or bases of any items in this lot.
Condition report:
All pieces appear to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface scratches (photos 1 and 2). The glass is clear and shows no signs of internal cloudiness or glass sickness.
