Lot 83: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramic Figurines, Animal Ornaments, and Glassware
An assortment of decorative ceramic and glass items featuring human figures, animals, and Dutch-themed wares. The group includes two blue and white porcelain figures in traditional costume, one holding a flute and the other a harp, together with a blue and white windmill. Human subjects include a boy in a green hat and red scarf carrying a backpack, a girl in a yellow dress with a fruit basket, and a glazed porcelain figure of a boy leaning on a fence with two white geese. The animal collection comprises a tricolour standing hound, a textured orange-brown cow, a grey sheep, a white poodle, two white cats, and a group of puppies on a square yellow base. Bird ornaments include an owl, a robin, and two birds on a branch. Other pieces include a clear glass paperweight with an internal red, white, and blue spiral pattern, a natural cowrie shell, and a partial set of blue and white floral patterned porcelain teacups and saucers with gilt edges. A white rectangular adhesive label reading 4 is present on the birds; an orange adhesive label reading 33 is on one white cat; and a similar label reading 83 is on the puppy group (photo 1). No printed or impressed manufacturer names are visible on the items from the provided photographs.
Condition report:
A dark smudge or mark is visible on the right side of the face of the boy figure with the backpack (photo 2). All items exhibit a layer of surface dust (photo 1). No significant chips, cracks, or professional repairs are apparent from the overview images.
