Lot 79: A Trio of Glass and Ceramic Decorative Objects
A trio of decorative objects comprising two glass vases and a glazed ceramic figural dish. The first item is a sommerso art glass vase of fluted, tapered form with a multi-lobed rim, featuring internal layers of red and blue glass encased within a clear glass body. The second item is an opaque light green glass vase of bulbous form with an elongated, slender neck and flared rim, decorated with hand-painted floral sprays and a central floral medallion within gilt-effect scrolled borders; a small orange adhesive label is attached to the rim. The third item is a white glazed ceramic figural dish featuring a scalloped, shell-shaped bowl supported by a pedestal base modelled in the form of a fish with a textured scale pattern; a small white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the neck of the fish, printed with the black digit 4. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory backstamps are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in generally good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of repair. Surface dust is present across all items. The ceramic fish pedestal shows minor dark spots and surface irregularities consistent with the firing process and age. The hand-painted decoration and gilt-effect borders on the green glass vase show no significant signs of wear. Adhesive labels remain attached to two of the items.
