Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of miscellaneous domestic ceramic and stoneware items. The lot includes a large earthenware teapot with a chocolate-brown glazed base and lid, featuring a cream-coloured shoulder decorated with hand-painted stylized floral motifs in orange and black. An orange adhesive sticker reading 76 is attached to the lid. A ceramic preserve jar is finished in a cream glaze with a flip-top lid secured by a metal wire-bale mechanism. The lid is hand-lettered in brown script with the words Pear and Poire repeated twice. An orange adhesive sticker reading 76 is also present on this lid. A lidded figural jar features a base with a yellow and brown vertical banded barrel pattern and a textured green lid with a moulded orange reclining animal figure. A small white adhesive label reading 4 is adhered to this lid. The collection further contains a grey-brown earthenware jug with an incised geometric cross-hatch pattern and a cream-glazed interior, a small stoneware jug in a pale celadon-grey glaze, and a large cream-coloured footed vessel or chalice. Three utility jars are present: one tall two-tone salt-glazed jar with a tan upper section and cream body, one cylindrical cream-glazed jar, and one small jar with a dark brown glaze. No manufacturer names or backstamps are legible on the visible surfaces of these items.

Condition report:

The items appear to be in generally good condition with no significant chips, cracks, or repairs visible from the overhead perspective (photo 1). There is minor surface wear and occasional glaze imperfections consistent with domestic use. The metal wire-bale clasp on the pear preserve jar shows signs of light oxidation.
