Lot 67: A Lladro Glazed Porcelain Figurine Girl with Geese Model 4849
A Spanish glazed porcelain figurine depicting a pastoral scene of a young girl kneeling beside two geese. The girl is modelled wearing a grey long-sleeved bodice and a flared beige skirt with a white apron, holding a green vegetable leaf towards the two white geese. Beside the figures is a woven-textured basket containing pale blue and green cabbages. The base features a blue underglaze printed mark consisting of a stylized tulip logo above the name LLADRO, with the text HAND MADE IN SPAIN and a copyright symbol followed by DAISA below. The model number 4849 is incised into the porcelain base. Additional faint impressed characters, including D-13 A, are present on the underside. A small circular blue adhesive label bearing the number 235 is also attached to the base. The piece is known as model number 4849, titled Feeding the Ducks, and was designed by Juan Huerta.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or signs of restoration visible in the provided images (photo 1, photo 2). The glaze remains bright and is free from crazing.
