Lot 610: A Group of Six Assorted Ladies Fashion Wristwatches Including Boxed Laura Ashley and Cachet Examples
A group of six assorted ladies fashion wristwatches including examples by Laura Ashley and Cachet. The collection features a Laura Ashley quartz wristwatch with a square gold-tone case and a champagne-coloured dial. The dial is printed with gold-tone Arabic numerals at the primary hours and dot markers, with three hands, and is marked LAURA ASHLEY. It is fitted to an integrated gold-tone hinged bangle bracelet and is housed in a floral and bird motif presentation box, with the interior lid marked L A U R A A S H L E Y. An adhesive white label on the box lid bears the handwritten characters 17 17. A second watch by Cachet features a round rose gold-tone case and a rose gold sunburst dial with simple bar indices and an Arabic numeral 12, marked CACHET. It is fitted with a grey leather strap. The group also includes a wristwatch with a round silver-tone case featuring a bezel set with two rows of colourless stones, an off-white dial with large stylized Arabic numerals, and a dark brown leather strap. Condition report:
The collection is in generally good pre-owned condition with visible signs of wear consistent with use (photo 1). The Laura Ashley watch shows minor surface scratches to the gold-tone case and bracelet. The Cachet watch shows light scratches to the crystal and case, with visible creasing and wear to the grey strap. The watch with the stone-set bezel shows visible wear to the brown leather strap. The black bangle watch exhibits moderate surface scratches and rubbing to the black finish. The white strap watch shows visible discolouration to the strap. All watches were not observed running and are likely to require new batteries; working order is not guaranteed.
