Lot 570: A Pair of Traditional Mahogany-Stained Bedside Tables with Two Marble-Based Table Lamps
A pair of mahogany-stained hardwood bedside tables featuring a traditional Georgian-style design. Each table provides an open rectangular storage compartment above a single drawer with a raised border detail. The top surfaces are finished with a darker stained border. The cabinets are raised on a shaped apron and bracket feet. Accompanying the tables are two table lamps, each with a tiered square marble base and white electrical flex. A white adhesive label with orange markings reading 5, 5 is present on the top surface of the right-hand unit. Other small labels are visible on the top surfaces of both units but the text is not legible.
Condition report:
The drawer hardware is mismatched, with one table featuring a brass-toned ring pull and the other a silver-toned ring pull (photo 1). Numerous surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish wear are visible on both top surfaces. There is localised scuffing and finish loss to the leading edges, corners, and feet. Minor indentations and rubbing are present on the drawer fronts. The electrical cords for the lamps are tangled and functionality has not been tested. General surface dust and light grime are present throughout.
