Lot 568: A Pair of Modern Pine Bedside Cabinets
A pair of modern bedside cabinets constructed from solid knotty pine with a medium-toned polished finish. Each unit features a gallery top above a single frieze drawer and two open storage shelves. The cabinets are designed with rounded front edges and side panels that extend to form a simple plinth base with shaped cutouts. Each drawer is equipped with a patinated metal drop handle mounted on an oval backplate. A yellow rectangular adhesive label is present on the front of the right-hand drawer, bearing the handwritten numbers 5 6 8. A similar yellow adhesive label is visible on the edge of the wooden platform below the cabinets, partially obscured, showing the numbers 5 6.
Condition report:
The cabinets are in good used condition. Minor surface abrasions, light scratches, and small indentations consistent with domestic use are visible on the tops and shelf edges (photo 1). The finish shows light, even wear across both units. The hardware is intact and appears original, and no significant structural damage or repairs are evident (photo 1).
