Lot 557: A contemporary mirrored dressing table and matching upholstered stool
A contemporary mirrored dressing table or console desk accompanied by a matching upholstered stool. The dressing table is of rectangular form with a glass-topped surface and features two side-by-side drawers, each finished with a faceted crystal-effect knob. The entire exterior frame and square tapering legs are clad in mirrored glass panels. The matching stool features a padded seat upholstered in a cream-coloured patterned fabric. Its mirrored apron is decorated with an etched central urn motif flanked by trailing foliate scrolls. The stool is supported by four square-section legs with a black finish. An orange adhesive sticker is visible on the underside of the table top. A similar orange adhesive sticker reflected in the lamp base above the table top displays the number 558. No maker marks or manufacturer labels are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
The item appears to be in good overall condition. The mirrored glass panels on both the table and stool are largely intact, with no significant cracks, chips, or foxing visible (photo 1). The faceted drawer knobs are present and secure. The stool upholstery shows light signs of use and minor pilling, but no major stains or tears are apparent (photo 1). There is a buildup of surface dust and some fingerprints consistent with a retail or auction house environment.
