Lot 510: A Jacobean revival dark stained oak coffee table
A dark-stained oak coffee table designed in the Jacobean revival style. The solid oak tabletop is rectangular with a rounded D-end on the right side. The base is constructed with six turned baluster legs terminating in square block feet, all joined by a peripheral stretcher system for stability. The dark stain is applied to mimic the appearance of seventeenth-century furniture. An orange adhesive sticker is present on the front right corner of the top, handwritten with the number 519.
Condition report:
The table displays significant signs of wear and use. Numerous scratches, scuffs, and abrasions are visible across the surface of the top (photo 1). The dark finish is heavily worn, particularly along the front edge and corners, revealing the lighter natural oak below (photo 1). Further finish loss and wear are evident on the legs and stretchers. Dust and debris have accumulated in the turnings and recessed areas of the base.
