Lot 502: Mid-20th-century dark oak magazine or record rack with carved guilloche detailing
An open oak storage unit featuring four vertical compartments divided by three fixed internal wooden panels. The piece is constructed from dark-stained oak and is designed in a revivalist style. One front vertical edge is decorated with a repeating carved guilloche pattern of interlocking ovals. The unit is supported by a shaped plinth base with bracket-style cutouts at the feet. No manufacturer labels, stamps, or marks are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
Condition report:
The item is in good structural condition. Minor surface wear is visible, including light scuffs and shallow scratches to the oak finish on the side panels and internal dividers (photo 1). Minor dust accumulation is present in the corners and at the base of the internal compartments (photo 1). The carved detailing remains crisp and intact. No structural damage or repairs are evident.
