Lot 485: Two Large Contemporary Floor Vases with Artificial and Dried Floral Arrangements
Two large decorative floor vases featuring coordinated artificial and dried botanical arrangements. The first vase is of composite construction with a multi-textured finish, featuring a textured off-white upper section, a central band of woven wicker, and a dark brown textured lower body. This vase contains a display of white silk artificial flowers, dried grasses, and dark brown botanical stems. A white three-pin UK electrical plug is visible within the neck, suggesting the piece may be fitted for internal lighting. The second vase features a modern tapered form with a metallic bronze-toned finish and a sculptural wrap-around detail near the neck. It is arranged with red-dyed dried grasses and green beaded decorative stems. An orange adhesive label with the handwritten number 455 and a small white adhesive label printed with the number 17 are adhered to the side of the bronze-toned vase. No manufacturer marks are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
Both items are in used condition. The multi-textured vase shows an accumulation of surface dust on the floral elements and minor scuffing to the top rim (photo 1). The bronze-toned vase exhibits multiple visible surface scratches and scuffs to the metallic finish, along with general surface dust throughout the arrangement (photo 1).
