Lot 481: Large Art Deco Revival bevelled smoked glass wall mirror
A large rectangular wall mirror in the Art Deco Revival style, characteristic of late 20th-century Hollywood Regency interior design. The piece features a central clear mirror plate surrounded by a wide border composed of smoked grey-tinted mirror glass panels. These border panels are mitred at the corners and finished with bevelled edges, creating a multifaceted decorative effect. The entire mirror assembly is set within a slim, minimalist black-finished frame. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the front or edges of the object.
Condition report:
The glass panels, including the clear central plate and the smoked border sections, appear to be in good condition with no visible cracks, chips, or significant scratches (photo 1). There is no evidence of silvering loss or foxing. The black frame shows minor surface abrasions and a layer of accumulated dust consistent with age and storage in an industrial environment.
