Lot 443: A Collection of Hand Tools and Garage Sundries including Castrol LM Grease
This lot comprises a variety of hand tools and garage consumables housed in a brown plastic three-compartment tool tray and a coarse-woven hessian bag. The collection includes a claw hammer with a wooden handle and a steel head, a pair of metal pliers with red plastic-coated handles, and a hand tool with a wooden handle. Also present is a tool with a yellow plastic handle and a metal blade. Consumables include a roll of white tape with an inner cardboard core printed with the repeating mark essentials. and a logo featuring the word GOOD inside an oval. A white plastic tub with a red lid bears the printed red mark Castrol and CASTROL LM GREASE. The tub includes a barcode with the numbers 3221008017 and a black and yellow label reading SB and a Ideal for home and work. A green cardboard box for a Steam Genie is located at the bottom of the tray. The tray contains an orange adhesive label handwritten with 443 and a white circular sticker printed with the numeral 7. A small black textured plastic accessory case is also included.
Condition report:
The items are in a used, as-found condition with significant signs of wear throughout. The steel head of the claw hammer shows heavy surface oxidation and pitting (photo 1). The tools, tray, and grease tub exhibit accumulated dust and grime consistent with garage storage (photo 1). The hessian bag shows typical fraying to the edges (photo 1). All mechanical items and the contents of the Steam Genie box are untested.
