An English bone china dinner and tea service produced by Wedgwood in the Angela pattern. This extensive collection includes a teapot with its lid, a large gravy boat or jug with an oval stand, a large lidded tureen, multiple oval serving platters, a set of dinner plates, side plates, soup or cereal bowls, and multiple teacups with matching saucers. Each piece is decorated with delicate transfer-printed sprays of multi-coloured wildflowers, including blue forget-me-nots and pink and yellow blossoms with green foliage, all set against a white ground. The bases bear a brown printed mark featuring a Portland Vase symbol above the text WEDGWOOD, Bone China, and MADE IN ENGLAND. The pattern name ANGELA is printed with a copyright symbol above a horizontal line, with the pattern code R4648 printed below. Two orange adhesive stickers are visible, one placed on the lid of the tureen and another on a dinner plate.
Condition report:
The service appears in good overall condition with vibrant colours and clean surfaces. As the items are stacked and clustered for the photograph, a full individual inspection for minor nicks, hairline cracks, or surface utensil marks was not possible. No major breakage, chips, or repairs are visible across the pieces. Orange adhesive stickers are present on the tureen lid and one plate (photo 1).
