Lot 369: An Assortment of Vintage Workshop Tools and Industrial Equipment
This collection consists of an assortment of vintage workshop tools and industrial components. The lot features a large circular metal scale face with a heavily patinated and rusted surface. The face displays a graduated scale with numerals from 0 to 180 in increments of 10 and a central metal indicator needle. A traditional woodworking block plane is included, featuring a wooden body with a metal blade and a wooden securing wedge. The lot also contains a pair of heavy-duty snips with blue-painted handles, one of which is embossed with the text DROP FORGED STEEL. A blue-painted metal foot-operated air pump is present, fitted with an integrated circular pressure gauge, a braided hose, and a textured black rubber foot pedal. A yellow and white adhesive label is affixed to the pump cylinder, but the text is not legible. Further items include a length of heavy-duty rusted chain, Stillson-pattern pipe wrenches, and various other metal tool components. The items are constructed from materials including cast iron, drop-forged steel, wood, rubber, and plastic.
Condition report:
The items are in a heavily used and aged condition as shown in the photograph. Significant surface corrosion and rust are visible on the metal components, most notably the circular scale face and the length of chain (photo 1). The wooden block plane shows weathering, minor paint splatter, and general wear to the timber body (photo 1). The blue-painted finish on the tool handles and the foot pump exhibits chips, scratches, and abrasions (photo 1). The functional status of the mechanical items is unknown and they are sold as seen.
