Lot 364: A Pair of Vintage Plush Terrier Dogs
A pair of vintage-style plush toy dogs comprising a white terrier and a black terrier. The white dog is constructed from shaggy, long-pile synthetic white plush and features a hard black plastic nose and small black bead eyes. It is fitted with a red heart-shaped plastic tag suspended from a gold-tone chain around its neck. The black dog is made from a curly, shearling-style black plush and wears a multi-coloured tartan ribbon bow. Both toys are in a seated position. A white adhesive label reading 12 and an orange adhesive label reading 364 are affixed directly to the fur of the black dog. Identical labels are affixed to the red heart tag of the white dog. No manufacturer names, signatures, or sewn-in labels are legible on either item.
Condition report:
Both items are in good overall condition. The shaggy plush of the white dog shows minor matting and dust accumulation consistent with display (photo 1). The adhesive inventory labels are attached directly to the pile of the black dog and may leave a residue upon removal (photo 1). The plastic eyes and nose of the white dog are secure. The tartan ribbon and heart-shaped tag remain intact. No significant balding, tears, or repairs are visible.
