A pair of contemporary decorative sculptures depicting stylized trees with an openwork canopy, following a Tree of Life motif. Each sculpture is constructed from cast metal with a heavily textured silver-toned finish, mounted onto a rectangular solid light-wood plinth. The design features organic, branching structures with irregular openings throughout the canopy, characteristic of a cast manufacturing process. An orange rectangular adhesive label is attached to the trunk of the more upright sculpture, bearing the handwritten characters 341. No artist signatures, foundry marks, or other inscriptions are visible on the metalwork or the wooden bases.
Condition report:
The sculptures appear to be in good overall condition. There are no visible signs of structural damage, losses, or repairs to the metal canopies or trunks (photo 1). The wooden bases are intact with no apparent chips or cracks. The irregular surface texture and pitting are consistent with the original casting and finishing process. A light accumulation of surface dust is present within the recesses of the openwork canopy.
