Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A traditional bagatelle board produced by House of Marbles in Bovey Tracey, Devon, England. The board is constructed from wood with a dark, polished finish and features an arched top. The playing surface is populated with numerous metal pins with rounded heads, arranged to create various paths and scoring zones. Eight circular recessed holes are positioned across the board for scoring, alongside several areas enclosed by pins. The scoring values are printed in gold-tone numerals and include 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, 80, 90, 100, 125, 130, and 150. A wooden channel for launching the ball is integrated along the right-hand side of the frame. Printed gold-tone text on the right side of the board reads HOUSE OF MARBLES BOVEY TRACEY, DEVON, ENGLAND. A small white rectangular adhesive label with the numerals 7 7 is located on the lower left playing surface, and an orange square adhesive inventory sticker with the numeral 32 is attached to the bottom right corner of the outer frame.

Condition report:

The item is in used condition with visible signs of age and wear. The wooden surface shows accumulated dust and minor surface scratching, particularly around the pins and in the corners of the frame (photo 1). The metal pins appear to be largely intact and straight. Two adhesive stickers are present on the board as described (photo 1). No marbles or launching cue are included in the lot.
