Lot 276: An Assortment of Vinyl Records including Oliver! Soundtrack LP and Mado Robin EP
A collection of vinyl records comprising two 12-inch LPs and a group of 7-inch singles or EPs, contained within a cardboard storage box. One 12-inch LP is the musical soundtrack Oliver!, featuring a blue sleeve marked on the top edge with a white adhesive label printed PHILIPS 422 660 and a handwritten 3. The front of the jacket displays the title OLIVER! in large blue block capitals. Also present is a yellow spine marked GOLDEN GUINEA PRODUCTIONS and REPRISE RECORDS, with a white adhesive label bearing the handwritten number 19. Among the 7-inch records is a French Decca EP by Mado Robin titled Noel. The reverse of this sleeve bears a rectangular DECCA logo, catalogue numbers DFE 6132 and 458.613, and tracks listed in French such as Le premier Noel des petits santons. One 12-inch black vinyl disc is visible, housed in a plain brown paper inner sleeve.
Condition report:
The sleeves are generally in fair to good condition. The Oliver! jacket exhibits visible edge wear, corner scuffing, and creasing (photo 1). The Mado Robin EP sleeve shows significant age-toning, spotting, and ring wear on the reverse (photo 1). The visible 12-inch vinyl disc shows surface dust and minor handling marks; as the records are stored in a stack, surface scuffing is likely to be present on multiple items (photo 1). The media has not been play-tested.
