Lot 271: A large ceramic baluster vase decorated with hydrangeas and containing a spray of artificial delphinium stems
A large ceramic vase of baluster form, likely porcelain, featuring a flared rim and a stepped circular foot. The body is decorated with an all-over floral pattern, prominently featuring large clusters of pink and purple hydrangeas interspersed with blue scrolling foliage and green leafy stems. A delicate blue scrolling border accents the neck and the base. The vase is shown containing a spray of artificial delphinium-type flowers in varied shades of blue and purple. A small, white rectangular adhesive label is present on the central body of the vase, bearing the printed numbers 4 4. No maker’s marks, factory stamps, or signatures are visible on the exterior body of the vase.
Condition report:
The vase appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of professional restoration (photo 1). The artificial flowers show minor surface dust commensurate with display. An adhesive label is attached to the body.
