Lot 237: A Framed Needlework Landscape Depicting a Poppy Field
A framed textile needlework landscape depicting a rural scene with red poppies and white daisies. The composition features a dense grouping of flowers and green foliage in the foreground, set against a backdrop of golden grain stalks, a cluster of green trees, and a light blue sky with white clouds. The needlework is executed in a variety of stitches on a textile support. The artwork is presented under glass in a dark brown wooden frame with a gold-toned inner fillet and a dark green mount. A small white rectangular adhesive label is situated in the upper left corner of the mount, bearing the printed number 3. A small orange rectangular adhesive label is situated in the lower right corner, bearing the number 73. No signatures, dates, or manufacturer marks are visible on the front of the artwork.

The needlework appears to be in good overall condition, with no visible fading, staining, or loose threads (photo 1). The glass and mount are intact and clean. The wooden frame shows minor surface scuffs and light wear to the edges and corners, consistent with age and handling.
