Lot 229: A Collection of Ladies Fashion Handbags including a David Jones Tote
An assortment of contemporary ladies handbags in various styles and materials, presented in a cardboard storage box. The collection includes a large salmon pink canvas tote bag featuring a tan rectangular faux-leather patch embossed with the characters DAVID JONES. Also present is a white grained faux-leather satchel with dual top handles, a shoulder strap, and large silver-tone circular hardware. The lot includes a navy blue patent structured handbag with black top handles and a central gold-tone rectangular turn-lock clasp, and a cream quilted flap-over bag with a gold-tone turn-lock. Further items include a large metallic tote bag with silver and bronze panels and several black handbags in various matte and patent finishes. The bags are constructed from a mix of synthetic materials including faux-leather, PVC, and canvas, featuring both gold-tone and silver-tone metal hardware.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition and show signs of storage wear. There is visible creasing to the bodies and straps of multiple bags from being packed together (photo 1). Minor surface scuffs and dust are present across the collection. Interior linings, zips, and internal pockets have not been inspected.
