Lot 220: A Vintage Videomaster Colour Dedicated Home Video Game Console with Original Box and Manual
This vintage dedicated home video game console is manufactured by Videomaster Ltd. The unit is housed in a textured black plastic casing and features integrated control panels with silver-toned faceplates. The front panel bears the printed name VIDEOMASTER COLOUR in black capital letters. Controls include a large black rotary knob labelled BAT CONTROL, several push-buttons for settings such as HANDICAP and GAME selection, and a toggle switch for power marked OFF and ON. The faceplates are decorated with red and green stylised graphics of tennis and football players. The console is accompanied by a red and white instruction manual featuring the brand name MASTER and a circular logo containing the initials VM. The original cardboard packaging is included, which features a printed number 21667 Y on an internal flap and a small white adhesive label marked with the number 7. Black plastic cables for power and RF output are attached to the unit.
Condition report:
The console is in used condition and remains untested for functionality. The unit shows surface dust and light scuffing to the silver-toned control panels (photo 1). The instruction manual shows signs of age, including creasing to the edges and light discolouration (photo 1). The original cardboard box is in poor condition, showing significant wear, structural crushing, and torn edges (photo 1).
