Lot 203: A Cast Iron Cookbook Stand in Dark Green Finish
A cast iron cookbook stand finished in dark green paint, featuring a decorative openwork backrest with horizontal wavy slats joined by a central vertical spine. A fixed shallow ledge at the base provides support for an open volume, and the unit is held upright by an integrated tripod base. A white rectangular adhesive label reading 2 2 is affixed to the upper portion of the central spine, and an orange rectangular adhesive label reading 203 is affixed lower down. A length of thin white cord is looped through the upper frame.
Condition report:
Significant paint chipping and loss are visible along the edges of the horizontal wavy slats and the front edge of the bottom book ledge (main photo). The green finish shows general surface wear, minor scuffs, and some accumulated dust consistent with age and domestic use.
