Buyer's Premium:

An assortment of philatelic material comprising a collection of UK First Day Covers and commemorative covers housed in a blue plastic storage bin. The primary visible item is a Royal Mail First Day Cover titled FLOWERS, featuring a set of four stamps with denominations of 18p, 22p, 31p, and 34p (SG 1347-1350). These stamps are cancelled with a circular date stamp reading FIRST DAY OF ISSUE 20 JAN 1987 BURNLEY & PENDLE LANCS. The cover includes a multi-coloured floral cachet and a handwritten address to M. KANE c/o HIGHAM P.O. BURNLEY. Beneath the primary item are multiple stacks of further philatelic covers, including a Royal Mail commemorative cover marked travelling post office dated JANUARY 2004. Most items are contained within individual protective plastic sleeves.


Condition report:

The 1987 Flowers First Day Cover displays clear circular date stamp cancellations (photo 1). The envelope is hand-addressed in black ink (photo 1). The remaining covers in the bin are arranged in stacks and appear generally well-preserved within their protective sleeves, with some light handling wear visible to the edges of the plastic packaging (photo 1).
