Lot 169: Admyra for Selfridges Brown Wool Coat with Faux Persian Lamb Trim
A vintage full-length woman’s double-breasted coat in a chocolate brown heavyweight fabric. The garment features a wide notched collar and deep turned-back cuffs, both faced in black curly faux fur in the style of Persian lamb. The coat is secured by eight decorative embossed metal shank buttons featuring a heraldic scrollwork design. The interior is fully lined with a contrasting rust-coloured synthetic fabric. A woven white label is sewn into the interior neck and reads Made in England for SELFRIDGES by ADMYRA in black text. A small white adhesive sticker with the number 12 is placed over this label. Adjacent to this is a secondary white woven size tag which reads UK 12, EURO 38, USA 10, BL/FR 40, and SPA 42. A small orange adhesive inventory sticker is visible on the right shoulder.
Condition report:
The coat is in good vintage condition. There is minor surface lint visible on the exterior fabric (photo 1). The interior lining is heavily wrinkled from storage but shows no signs of tearing or significant wear (photo 1 and 2). The faux fur trim is well-preserved with no visible matting or losses. A small orange adhesive sticker is present on the right shoulder area (photo 1).
