Lot 158: Dow's 10 Year Old Aged Tawny Port, 37.5cl
A 37.5cl bottle of Dow’s 10 Year Old Aged Tawny Port, produced in Oporto, Portugal. The bottle features a cream-coloured main label printed with the text W. DOW OPORTO EST. 1798, DOW’S, 10 YEAR OLD, Aged Tawny, matured for 10 years in oak casks. From the finest vineyards in Portugal. PORT, and Bottled and shipped by Silva & Cosens Ltd. Oporto Produce of Portugal. The label also indicates a volume of e 37.5cl / 375 ml and an alcohol content of 20%alc/vol. A green and white paper seal, the Selo de Garantia, is applied over the black capsule and reads VINHO DO PORTO, XG 854040, 01, and GARANTIA. A small orange adhesive sticker with the handwritten number 158 is applied to the bottle shoulder. The bottle is presented in its original cardboard box, which repeats the branding and descriptive text found on the bottle label.
Condition report:
The bottle is in excellent condition (photo 1). The black capsule is intact with no signs of leakage. The paper neck seal is present and undamaged. The fill level is high, situated well into the neck. Both the bottle and box labels are clean, legible, and fully adhered. The original presentation box shows minor shelf wear to the corners and edges but remains structurally sound.
