Lot 14: A traditional brass and emerald green cased glass bankers style desk lamp
A traditional bankers style desk lamp featuring a polished brass-toned metal base and stem. The circular weighted base supports a twin-arm adjustable mounting for an emerald green cased glass shade, which is white on the interior. The lamp is fitted with a black electrical lead and a modern UK three-pin plug. An orange rectangular adhesive sticker is attached to the left side of the shade with handwritten characters reading 14. A small white rectangular adhesive label is present on the rear bottom edge of the glass shade, but the printed text is not legible. No manufacturer name or maker’s marks are visible on the object.
Condition report:
The emerald green glass shade appears free from chips or cracks (photo 1). The brass-toned metal components retain a high-shine finish with some minor surface dust and finger marking (photo 1). The orange inventory sticker remains attached to the glass and may leave residue if removed. The lamp has not been tested for electrical safety or functionality.
