Lot 110: A Set of four hand-painted polyresin figurines depicting border collies and sheep
A set of four cast polyresin figurines, each hand-painted in a realistic style depicting rural subjects. The set includes two dogs and two sheep, each standing on a themed base. One figurine features a black-faced ram with curved horns and textured fleece, standing on a tall, rocky plinth adorned with green moss, a wooden fence post, and a yellow sunflower. A matching smaller figurine depicts a black-faced lamb on a similar mossy, rocky base with a fence and sunflower. The dogs consist of a black and white border collie in a seated alert pose on a grey dry-stone wall base, and a second black and white border collie in a crouching working pose on a dry-stone wall base with a wooden fence section. There are no maker’s names, signatures, or factory stamps visible on the exterior surfaces of the figurines. An orange adhesive rectangular label with the handwritten number 110 is affixed to the back of the ram figurine.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or losses to the resin detailing across all four pieces (photo 1). The hand-painted finishes remain vibrant with no significant wear or fading. One figurine has an adhesive label attached to its surface as described.
