Lot 107: Two decorative glass vessels comprising a clear hurricane vase and a silvered glass pedestal vase
A pair of decorative glass vessels featuring varied finishes and forms. The first piece is a large, clear blown glass hurricane vase of baluster form, characterised by a wide outwardly flared rim, a waisted neck, and a bulbous body terminating in a solid glass pedestal foot. A small, square silver-toned foil label and a rectangular red label are present on the upper body, but the text on both is not legible. The second piece is a silvered glass pedestal vase of slightly tapered cylindrical form, featuring a highly reflective mirrored finish. The vessel rests upon a matching silvered pedestal foot. A rectangular orange adhesive label is present on the exterior rim; the characters are not legible.
Condition report:
The clear glass hurricane vase appears in good condition with no visible chips or cracks; minor surface marks consistent with handling are visible in photo 1. The silvered glass vase shows an intact reflective finish with no significant foxing or loss visible in photo 1. No chips or cracks are apparent on either vessel.
