Lot 734: A Collection of New Zealand Souvenir and Military Interest Items
A collection of items including a green composite hei-tiki pendant featuring red-coloured eyes, suspended on a blue cord and accompanied by an informational card titled New Zealand’s Unique Tiki. The group also contains a circular enamel lapel badge for The Royal British Legion, designed with a blue border and surmounted by a crown. Further items include a gold-tone tie slide with diagonal engine-turned decoration and a small gold-tone pin with black enamel detail. The metal components are unmarked and appear to be base metal with gold-tone plating.
Condition report:
The items show signs of wear consistent with age. There is visible tarnish and surface oxidation to the metal components, particularly on the British Legion badge. The informational card shows minor creasing and discolouration. The enamel on the badge and pin appears to be largely intact with no significant losses.
