Lot 659: A Collection of Decorative Ceramics including Blue and White Chinoiserie Porcelain and Relief-Moulded Vessels
A collection of decorative ceramic items comprising blue and white porcelain and relief-moulded earthenware. The collection includes a porcelain vase of pomegranate form, decorated in underglaze blue with a bird perched amongst flowering branches and a fluted, wavy-edged neck with leaf motifs. Accompanying this is a porcelain pedestal bowl with a scalloped rim and flared base, featuring hand-painted floral sprays and a decorative interior border of cloud-like motifs. Also included is a cream-coloured earthenware vase with a reticulated lattice-work neck and relief-moulded floral decoration to the body. Completing the collection is an earthenware jug moulded in the form of a grape cluster, finished in a graduated polychrome glaze transitioning from green at the base to dark brown at the rim and handle. Two items bear small adhesive labels numbered 14.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the porcelain or earthenware pieces. Some adhesive labels and an orange price sticker are present on the surfaces.
