Lot 622: A Regency Revival Mahogany Dining Suite
A Regency revival mahogany dining suite comprising an oval dining table and a set of chairs. The table top is finished with well-figured mahogany veneers arranged in a book-matched pattern. The chairs feature open lyre-shaped back splats and straight legs connected by H-frame stretchers. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a cream and taupe patterned damask fabric. The construction and finish are characteristic of 20th-century reproductions of early 19th-century English designs.
Condition report:
The suite appears to be in good overall condition. The table top shows minor surface scuffs and light scratches consistent with domestic use. Small adhesive auction labels are present on the table top and chair frames. The upholstery is clean and free from significant wear or staining.
