Lot 130: A Fox & Simpson Radio-Controlled Arched Mantel Clock
A radio-controlled mantel clock by Fox & Simpson. The clock is housed in an arched wooden case with a dark reddish-brown mahogany-style finish, featuring a decorative light-coloured wood stringing inlay along the front edges. The cream-coloured dial is set with black Roman numerals, a minute track, and spade-shaped hands, protected by a domed glass cover. The dial is inscribed Fox & Simpson and RADIO CONTROLLED. The case is raised on four gold-tone metal ball feet with a matching gold-tone bezel. The clock is powered by a radio-controlled quartz movement. A price or lot sticker marked 130 is adhered to the top left of the case.
Condition report:
The clock is in overall good cosmetic condition with minor surface dust and light wear consistent with domestic use. The movement has not been tested for functionality and the battery compartment has not been inspected for corrosion.
