Lot 9: A Collection of Vintage Dressing Table Accessories and Blue Jasperware Items
A collection of vintage dressing table accessories and decorative jasperware stoneware. The group includes a vanity set comprising a hand mirror, a hairbrush, a clothes brush, a comb, a circular trinket box, and a footed dish, all presented on an oval galleried tray with a patterned textile-style base under glass. These pieces are constructed from silver-tone metal with filigree work and cream-coloured panels inset with blue and white jasperware-style cameos depicting classical figures. Also included is a group of blue and white jasperware stoneware items, comprising several lidded boxes and scalloped dishes. These pieces feature white bas-relief decoration of classical figures and cherubs within laurel leaf borders. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.
Condition report:
Fair condition with signs of age and use. The brushes show significant splaying and yellowing of the bristles. Staining is visible to the textile base of the tray. Adhesive stickers are present on several items. Metal components show minor surface wear.
