Lot 85: A Trio of Cut and Etched Lead Crystal Vessels including a Bedside Water Set
A trio of clear lead crystal items comprising a bedside water set, a coordinating small glass, and a slender-necked decanter. The bedside tumble-up set consists of a carafe and a matching tumbler designed to sit inverted over the neck. Both pieces, along with the additional small vessel, are decorated with traditional deep-cut patterns including bands of cross-hatched diamonds between vertical fluting and fan cutting to the shoulders. The decanter features a bulbous body with light etched foliate decoration and is fitted with a solid, faceted globular stopper. Several temporary adhesive inventory labels are present on the surfaces. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with clear glass and no evidence of internal clouding or sickness. There are minor surface scratches and light shelf wear to the bases consistent with age. No significant chips or cracks are visible. The decanter stopper is present and fits correctly.
