Lot 75a: A pair of Queen Anne style cast brass candlesticks
A matched pair of cast brass candlesticks designed in the traditional Queen Anne style. Each piece features a flared trumpet-shaped nozzle above a multi-knop baluster stem. The stems are mounted upon weighted, stepped octagonal bases. The candlesticks exhibit a bright, polished finish. There are no visible maker marks, hallmarks, or manufacturer labels on the exterior of either item.
Condition report:
The candlesticks are in good used condition with a bright, polished finish. The surfaces show scattered minor scratches, small pits, and light areas of tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and use. Dark residue is present inside the candle nozzles. Adhesive labels are currently attached to the nozzles, which may leave a residue upon removal.
