Lot 706: An Assortment of Manchester United Memorabilia, a Lincoln and Kennedy Coin Set, and a Vintage Sports Photograph
This lot comprises three distinct categories of memorabilia. Firstly, a small red Manchester United football album containing colour photographs from the 1990s. The contents include a photograph of Eric Cantona in a red home kit with Sharp sponsorship, bearing a signature in black ink across the centre. Also included are two photographs of Andy Cole, one in a white away kit with Sharp Viewcam sponsorship and another in a red home kit, alongside an image of a player holding the FA Cup trophy.
Secondly, a Strange But True! commemorative set presented in a clear plastic protective case. The set contains a United States Lincoln cent and a United States Kennedy half-dollar. The accompanying card lists various historical coincidences between presidents Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, such as their years of election and details regarding their successors and assassinations.
Thirdly, a vintage black and white photographic print depicting a field hockey team. The outdoor group portrait shows approximately seventeen players in uniform holding hockey sticks, accompanied by two officials in suits.
Condition report:
The Manchester United album and photographs show light wear to the plastic sleeves; the Eric Cantona signature is unverified and lacks a certificate of authenticity. The coin set case exhibits surface scratching and has a small white lot sticker on the front. The vintage hockey photograph is in poor condition, featuring significant irregular tears and loss of material along the bottom edge, and a large area of yellow-brown staining running vertically through the right-centre of the image.
