Lot 7: A Two-piece Set of Spanish Bodegas Campeny Reserva Del Monasterio Ceramic Figurative Decanter and Vessel
This two-part lot consists of a moulded ceramic figurative decanter and a tall decorative ceramic vessel. The primary piece is a Bodegas Campeny Reserva Del Monasterio decanter depicting two monks with tonsured hair, dressed in brown tunics and sandals, seated around a central wooden-effect barrel. One monk holds a drinking cup, while the other carries a reddish-brown jug. The barrel is fitted with a small cork stopper at the top. The group is situated on an irregular base textured to resemble a cobbled floor and is finished in a multi-tone polychrome glaze. Accompanying the figurine is a tall, tapered cylindrical vessel featuring a flared rim with a relief-moulded band of circular and floral motifs. The body is finished in a cream glaze, contrasting with the dark brown glaze of the interior and rim decorations. Both items are marked with modern orange adhesive auction lot tags numbered 7.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with no large chips, cracks, or visible signs of repair to the exterior surfaces. Minor surface marks and dust are present, consistent with age and previous display.
