Lot 694: Contemporary Painted Bedside Pedestal with Cork Top
A small contemporary bedside pedestal or low storage cupboard constructed from wood or engineered board with a cream painted finish. The square-form unit features an inset rectangular natural cork panel to the top surface. Each side is decorated with a recessed panel incorporating a classic arched top. The base is designed with shallow arched cutouts forming four low integrated feet, and a rectangular hand-hold is cut into one side near the base to facilitate lifting. There are no visible maker’s marks or branding. An orange auction lot label numbered 4469 is attached to the upper edge.
Condition report:
The painted finish shows various small scuffs, marks, and minor paint loss, particularly concentrated along the sharp edges and corners. A small chip is visible to the painted surface on the bottom right foot. The cork inlay is intact but exhibits minor wear and some lifting at the edges. There is general surface dirt and dust commensurate with warehouse storage.
